The English international insisted he wouldn’t have left England for money

Ex Liverpool player Jordan Henderson would have recently lived one of the weirdest moments in his career, since he got a shocking attendance in his last game with Al Ettifaq, which would have caused the criticism of the Liverpool fans returning to seed controversy around his decision to leave the club in the summer to join the Saudi League.

Henderson, who in an interview with the English site The Athletic insisted that he would not have decided to join the Saudi League for money but the project to be started in Al Ettifaq managed by the Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, was object of questioning and ridiculous in the last few hours.

According to The Athletic itself, Henderson would have the poorest attendance in his professional football career during the last game of Al Ettifaq, who visited the Saudi side Abha in the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium, that had fewer than 1,000 people in the stands to receive Jordan Henderson and his teammates at Al Ettifaq.

Some football fans would have mocked Henderson through the social media

The image of the almost empty huge olympic stadium would have caused some football fans to have mocked Jordan Henderson through the social media, questioning once again his decision of leaving the Premier League to join the Saudi Pro League. Meanwhile, Al Ettifaq achieved a 1-3 victory in their game, and they keep on being placed at the fifth place of the Saudi Pro League table.
