The Liverpool’s midfielder surprised everybody with his response to the Saudi offer

Jordan Henderson surprised Liverpool fans in the next few hours as he took his final decision over an offer from Al Ettifaq received in the last few days. The new Steven Gerrard club has requested Henderson to respond to the offer and it could have already happened, as the Liverpool pre-season has already started and the Reds’ officers and the player himself wanted to solve the matter as soon as possible.

In this sense, the 30-year-old player has two years left in his contract with Liverpool and was seriously thinking about the possibility to join the Liverpool legend Gerrard in his project in the Saudi Pro League, which would have offered Henderson a lucrative salary, granting him one of the highest salaries in Al Ettifaq squad.

As reported by the British media, Jordan Henderson could have already given an answer to the Saudi club and surprised everybody at Liverpool with it. Henderson could have snubbed the meeting with Gerrard, having rejected the offer of Al Ettifaq to stay at Liverpool, which he considers the best step in his career at this moment.

Henderson is looking forward to 2024

Following the British media sources, Henderson has been reported to fear a potential move to Saudi Pro League could impact negatively his chances of being picked for England at Euro 2024, a trophy the player wants to play, as he currently is one of the most experienced players both in England and Liverpool, with 142 games completed with both in his career.
