Manchester City’s striker Julian Alvarez revealed his feelings in the squad and the new tacticall changes made by Pep Guardiola after the Citizen’s home league opener against Newcastle in which the Argentine striker scored the single goal that gave the lead to the Sky Blues, and finally ended to secure a victory for them.
The 23-year-old player, who was absent from the UEFA Super Cup final against Sevilla and last season did not have all the minutes expected since his arrival from River Plate, could finally have his chance to test his quality starting the games with Manchester City and becoming a fixed player in the lineup, once he could be set by Guardiola to replace Kevin De Bruyne in the team after the Belgian player’s long-term hamstring injury was confirmed.
In this sense, Pep Guardiola would have already spoken about the possibility of changing the Julian’s position in the team, to make him perform the number 8 or number 10 role in the next few games, which precisely happened during the game against Newcastle, after which the Argentine player took the time to reveal his feelings in that game in the last few hours according to the British media.
Following these sources, the player spoke about his experience playing in a creative midfielder role and he confessed he enjoys the position. "I try to learn every day, to adapt to different positions that they play me in, the different movements I need to make to help the team”, said Julian.
