Liverpool and FC Barcelona could soon develop a terrible fight for one of the most promising young players in Scandinavian football, as both clubs would have been recently attracted by the quality offered by a 18-year-old Swedish gem, whose improvement in Swedish football would be meteoric in the last few months.
The player in question is the striker Momodou Sonko, one of the attacking sensations of the Allsvenskan league this season with BK Hacken, where he made his senior team debut as a 17-year-old in August 2022, showing his talent with the Swedish side after joining them in 2020, having spent most of his formative years with Vastra Frolunda.
In this sense, according to the Swedish site Expressen, Sonko would be attracting plenty of attention ahead of the January transfer window, with Liverpool and FC Barcelona really keen on counting on the player in the next few months as the quality treasured by the player would have convinced Jürgen Klopp and Xavi Hernandez to sign the striker for their teams.
Sonko, who can play as a left winger, has completed a wonderful season at Hacken until the moment, having scored ten goals and given five assists in 35 appearances with the Swedish side in all competitions, having become a great option for Liverpool, where Jürgen Klopp would be looking for a medium term replacement for Mohamed Salah, while Xavi Hernandez will be searching an explosive winger, role that Sonko could perfectly perform.
