Liverpool must be quick to sign the player before its rivals

Liverpool is keen on injecting new blood into their midfield. After the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion and Dominik Szoboszlai, who has already presented with Liverpool's number 8 shirt, the Reds are looking for a new profile to respond to the Jürgen Klopp plans for this season. The German coach has expressed his desire to rebuild and rejuvenate the team’s midfield, and another target is now on Liverpool’s radar.

According to the transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Jürgen Klopp has put his eyes on the talent Southampton starlet Romeo Lavia, a 19 year-old Belgian midfielder who has already attracted the attention of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City in this transfer market window, so Liverpool should move quickly for the player to get a potential deal done before its rivals.

Following the Romano sources, Liverpool has been in the race to sign Lavia since last week, while Arsenal is trying to complete a possible exit of Thomas Partey before joining the business, and Chelsea and Manchester City are looking for Moises Caicedo first. Therefore, it seems that Liverpool's movement should be as quick as possible to sign the player.

The signing could be completed with a €50 million bid

According to Romano, a  €50 million bid by Liverpool could make Southampton let the player exit from the club, so it is expected to happen in the next few days, as the Reds consider Lavia could be an important piece to come back to the Europe’s elite and the perfect complement to finish the rebuild of the Liverpool’s midfield after the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
