The Reds completed an excellent comeback with a brilliant second half 

Liverpool got a 3-1 win against Leicester City in Anfield in the third round of the Carabao Cup, in a game where the Reds completed a great comeback with a brilliant second time where Szboszlai guided the team from the midfield scoring a goal and creating great chances to feed the Liverpool’s forward line, where Jota sealed the victory with a luxurious backheel goal that got the Reds’ excited.

Leicester City scored the opening goal of the game at the 3rd minute through the English left winger Kasey McAteer,  who finished an assist by Akgun after a run of 40 meters in a counter attack for the Foxes. The visitors extended their dominance in the game until halftime, while Liverpool tried to equalize the score without succeeding.

The game’s route totally changed at the second half, where Liverpool started slamming their rival at the 48th minute, when Cody Gakpo scored the equalizer for the Reds with a classy shot from inside the box after being assisted by Ryan Gravenberch. The goal boosted the confidence of the locals, who definitely went wildly for the game.

The substitutions were crucial for the Reds, and Dominik Szboszlai and Darwin Nunez, who entered for Ben Doak and Gravenberch, made the difference in the Liverpool’s attack, who became even more dangerous and aggressive. The Uruguayan striker had several chances to score and the Hungarian midfielder gave the lead to his team scoring the second goal with a frontal impressive powerful shot from outside the box to beat the goalkeeper at the 70th minute, and Jota sealed the victory for the Reds at the 89th with a backheel goal after inside the box after being assisted by Quansah
