Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp would be focused on getting the best from his team for the 2023/2024 season, but he would be also monitoring possible players to strengthen the team in the next transfer market window, as one of his goals is the rebuild of the team in the short term to develop a new squad able to compete for all the titles in the next few years.
In this sense, in the summer he planned the rejuvenation of the team’s midfield with several targets to be sign, from whom he actually signed three, as Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo finally subbed the Reds’ interest to join Chelsea while the Anfield’s team signed the veteran Wataru Endo.
In this respect, Klopp secured the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szobozslai and Ryan Gravenberch as young players to become important for a long period in the club, and they have already shown their quality during the first games of the season both in English and European competitions, but according to According to Italian outlet Sport Mediaset, Liverpool would be also keen on an old target they were trying to sign this summer, the French midfielder Kephren Thuram from OGC Nice.
Following these sources, the French side would be asking for €40 million for the 22-year-old who could join the Reds to act as a replacement for Mac Allister in the team, and the Anfield’s team would be ready to pay an affordable amount for the French rising star. However, the Reds would need to make a quick move to secure the player’s arrival, since Juventus was also reported in the last few years to be monitoring him as a potential signing.
