The Red Devils trashed the Eagles in the third round of the Carabao Cup

Manchester United got a 3-0 victory against Crystal Palace in Old Trafford in the third round of the 2023/2024 Carabao Cup, where Ten Hag’s team dominated the game and was able to impose their quality against the rival. The Mancunian team got the lead very early in the game, and they did not have trouble to achieve an important victory to develop a winning streak for the Red Devils.

Garnacho opened the score for Manchester United at the 21st minute, after finishing an assist by Diogo Dalot inside the box in a play initiated with a 40-yard pass through by Mason Mount, and five minutes later Casemiro scored the second goal for United heading a pass to the center of the box by Mount kicking a corner.

The second half started with an important change for the locals, since Ten Hag replaced Mason Mount with Lindelof, who was placed as a left back giving the Mount’s position to Amrabat, who led the midfield with Casemiro. Precisely the Brazilian player gave the assist to Martial at the 55th minute to score the third goal for the locals, who were unstoppable for Crystal Palace.

Erik Ten Hag gave opportunities to Gore and Van de Beek

The Eagles tried to react giving entry to Eze, Guehi and Ozoh, but remained suffering while United practiced great combinations, with their coach Erik Ten Hag making several changes and giving opportunities to Gore and Van de Beek, and some minutes of action to Hojlund, ending the game with the final 3-0 in a comfortable win where Manchester United finally seemed to step up in their play.
