Manchester United would be really desperate to improve their image both in English and European football in the next few months, as the club’s next minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe would be worried that the team doesn’t achieve the minimal goals in the season, as the exit of the club from the European competitions would mean a considerable decreasement in the finances of the institution in the next few months.

For this season, Ratcliffe would be desperate to strengthen the sporting area of the Mancunian institution, and he would have already designed the main lines in his plan to develop a great sporting structure able to take the club back to their glory days in the next few years.

In this sense, according to the English site Sky Sports, the British billionaire would be considering axing from the institution to the sporting director John Murdough, and he would be already negotiating his replacement, being considered an ex Liverpool sporting director to take Manchester United to the next level.

He was capital in the success of Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool

The name he would be considering is Michael Edwards, one of the main actors in Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool, as he had a capital role in the arrivals of Mohamed Salah, Alisson, Virgil Van Dijk and Fabinho to Liverpool, making also strategic sales for the Reds as the one taking Phillippe Coutinho to FC Barcelona for 135 million in 2018.
