Manchester United’s midfielder Mason Mount would have gotten injured in the last game with the team against Tottenham in the North London’s team home league opener in which the Red Devils were defeated 0-2. The English midfielder did not have a great game against the Spurs, but the worst part would be suffering an unexpected injury that would prevent him from playing some games with the team.

In this sense, in the last few Manchester United posted an official statement about Mason Mount saying that the English midfielder would be set to miss the next game against Nottingham Forest due to an injury picked up in last weekend’s encounter against Tottenham.

According to Manchester United’s statement the player would suffer a little discomfort, and he would be expected to be out of the pitch until the international break next month, which would mean that Mount would lose the game against Forest, but his presence would be in doubt for the game against Arsenal in the Emirates Stadium.

The player could be replaced by Christian Eriksen

According to the information given by Manchester Evening Standard, the player’s absence from the lineup would be expected to be covered by the Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has been the usual replacement for Mount in the last two games played by Manchester United in this season against Wolverhampton and Tottenham, once Kobbie Mainoo would be still recovering from an ankle injury and would be expected to return by October.
