Arsenal's coach Mikel Arteta surprised in the last few hours with the squad picked to fly to Bournemouth in their visit to the Vitality Stadium to play against the Cherries on the seventh day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season, where the Gunners need to win to keep on fighting for the first places in the table.
The Spanish coach, who announced in the club’s previous press conference to the game against the Cherries that the trio composed of Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba were dealing with slight injury problems and were in danger to be part of the squad to face Bournemouth in the Vitality Stadium, could have given some clues about the player’s injuries and their severity in the last few hours with a unexpected decision.
In this sense, the players finally traveled with the squad, which would mean that even if they don’t play against the Cherries, they could not be facing serious problems or at least they would be close to being completely recovered from the injuries suffered in the last few weeks.
Despite this information, the Spanish coach’s lineup against Bournemouth would be a mystery, and Arteta would be expected to place some players covering the potential absences of the players in the starting XI against the Cherries as they could start the game for the Gunners from the bench.
