Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta went under the spotlight after his press conference ahead of the next game for the Gunners against Liverpool in Anfield on the eighteenth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season, a game that could be crucial for the North London team in their ambitions to remain on the top of the league before the winter break.

The Spanish coach, who was asked by the importance of the Anfield’s atmosphere for the game, clarified that his team should manage to control that and being able to stand the pressure in key moments during the game, and admitted to have worked on that during the last training sessions.

In this sense, the manager was asked about the last game faced by the Reds in Merseyside, when the Anfield team achieved a 0-0 against Manchester United in the Northwest England derby, where the Red Devils planned a defensive game to reach points from their visit to the Liverpool stadium.

The manager spoke out on his plans for the game in Anfield

Mikel Arteta, who didn’t hide his intentions for the game against the Reds in Liverpool, revealed the plans of his team, stating that it would be a real challenge to go to Merseyside and being dominant on and off the ball to compete for being better than Jürgen Klopp’s side. “We will have the game planned to win them and return from Anfield with the three points”, explained the Spanish coach.
