Liverpool keeps on getting ready for the next Premier League season and Jürgen Klopp continues rebuilding the team with new signings. The German coach has expressed several times that one of his main goals at the club during this summer transfer market window is rejuvenating the team’s midfield and getting it ready to be developed in the next few years.
In this sense, the German coach has signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szobozslai, who have strongly impressed in their first minutes with the Reds, as they were peripheral figures in Liverpool's victory against Karlsruhe, the last friendly game for the Anfield team. However, another midfielder would be ready to take his place in Liverpool's midfield, according to what everybody at the club has been able to see in the latest Liverpool’s training sessions.
We talk about the English international Curtis Jones, who comes from winning the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with England, being one of the team’s main players. The young international is really shining during Liverpool's preseason, and he could be ready to step up in the team’s midfield to fight for a place with the new club’s signings.
In that sense, Curtis Jones himself has already talked about his possibilities to enter into the team's lineup and the challenges he faces this season with the Reds. "I know if I go out there and play it’s a chance to show I am good enough to play in the next game. It’s all on me, Jones said; before indicating that he is “in the same boat” as Mac Allister and Szobozslai, and he will strongly fight to have a key role in the Jürgen Klopp plans for next season.
