Raul Jimenez is hours away from experiencing an emotional reunion with Wolverhampton, his former team, in the Fulham vs. Wolves that will be played this Monday within the Premier League.

He became an idol of the English team to the point of having a song that was always sung by fans in any stadium in England. Jimenez lived two excellent first seasons with Wolverhampton until he suffered a skull fracture in November 2020 in a collision with David Luiz.

From then on, the Mexican gradually lost prominence until reaching the point that Raul spent several games without being considered to play at the time. Raul Jimenez was signed on loan for the 2018-19 season from Benfica in Portugal and from there came two years full of unmatched success.

Most expensive signing in history: Raul Jimenez cost Wolves $40 million, making it the most expensive signing until the hiring of Fábio Silva months later. Leading scorer in consecutive seasons, the Mexican scored 44 goals in his first two campaigns with 17 and 27, respectively.

Raul Jimenez's successes with the Wolves

MVP in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 campaigns Jimenez was the winner of the best player award for Wolves. Top scorer in the Premier League with 36 goals. With Raul Jimenez, Wolves reached the FA Cup Semifinals (2018-19), the UEFA Europa League Quarterfinals (2019-20), in addition to finishing in seventh place in the Premier twice.
