Manchester United’s retired player Rio Ferdinand surprised the media and the fans in the last few hours as he identified two center forwards that could improve the defense of the Ten Hag’s squad for the next few months and boost the team’s performance to a great level of football for the last part of the season.

According to the Mancunian journal Manchester Evening News the English retired player has identified RC Lens defender Kevin Danso and the FC Barcelona player Ronald Araujo as the center halves who could bolster the Manchester United defense for the January transfer market window, as he considers they could be crucial players to have an immediate impact on the Ten Hag’s squad.

The first candidate proposed by Ferdinand, the Austrian 25-year-old player Kevin Danso, has already been linked with a move to the Premier League in the last few months according to the Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who revealed that the player’s agent would have already had talks with top clubs of the Premier League such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea and his value would be set at €20 million.

Meanwhile, Ronald Araujo was highlighted by Ferdinand as the best center half to sign for Manchester United. “Either he is available or not, I think he’s brilliant, he’s an unreal center back”, he said. And he added “ Araujo has all the qualities to be a perfect center back in the Premier League, I’d probably say that he’s the most remarkable option that United should pursue, but I don’t know whether he could be available or not”
