The Belgian 30-year-old player has had a great start of the season with the Italian team

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, currently loaned to AS Rome, surprised the media and the dans in the last few hours hitting Mauricio Pochettino once he had to leave the club this summer in the Premier League transfer market deadline after having being set as a transferable player by the Argentine coach, who did not even tried to speak with the Belgian 30-year-old player during those days.

Currently Lukaku comes from scoring seven goals in eight appearances in all competition, two of them coming over the weekend in a 4-1 win over Cagliari, displaying a great difference from what he had shown at Chelsea, where Lukaku had just scored 15 goals after becoming the club’s record signing in 2019 joining the Blues for €113 million from Manchester United.

In this sense, Lukaku spoke to the media in an AS Rome press conference in the last few hours, and praised Jose Mourinho, his current coach at the Italian team while hit all the coaches he had in the past among whom it is Mauricio Pochettino, whom he hit back after not having considered him for the team in Chelsea.

Lukaku praised Mourinho and criticized his coaches in the past

Lukaku sent a strong message about his performance on the pitch and the relationship he has with Mourinho. "I am a professional, I worked in the summer. Many people have talked about my condition, but I don't speak and I demonstrate my ability on the pitch. As I have said in the past, Mourinho and I have a special relationship. He knows my family, he knows my children: he is someone I trust, as he has in me. He is also tough, as other coaches have been in the past, but it's the only way I can grow as a player”, he revealed.
