Chelsea would have gotten frustrated by Romelu Lukaku in the last few hours, since it has been known that the Belgian 30-year-old player would have spoiled a signing for the Blues in the last few years, having played a key role to help one of the most promising superstars in the Premier League to snub the Chelsea’s interest on him when he was not known by the football’s elite yet.
According to the English journal the Evening Standard, Lukaku would have stepped in to stop Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku moving to Chelsea when the player was still at Anderlecht as it was claimed by the director of the Belgian’s club academy Jean Kindermans.
In this sense, it is worth mentioning that the current Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku, arrived from Rennes for €60 million, joined the French club three years ago, when he was still unknown by the football public and played for Anderlecht, where he got a Chelsea’s offer which he snubbed with the help of Romelu Lukaku.
Following these sources, Lukaku, former Anderlecht player, would have had a chat with Doku on a video call to advised him not to sign for Chelsea in 2019, when Doku was only 17 years old and his signing was valued at €2 million, which clearly could have changed the events around the player, who finally joined the Premier League for €60 million to play for Manchester City.
