Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp received bad news in the last few hours, as the medicals of the club would have revealed that the Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister would be ready to lose some new games with the Reds, given that the injury suffered in his leg some weeks ago has been finally more serious than expected.
The Argentine player, who missed the last few games with Liverpool, included the participation of the Reds in the UEFA Europa League and the Northwest England derby against Manchester United in Anfield for the seventeenth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League, would be ready to miss three more games with the Klopp’s side as he would be out of the team until the next year.
In this sense, according to an information given by the English football site The Athletic, the injury suffered by Mac Allister on December 6 against Sheffield United in a clash with Vini Souza would avoid the player to miss crucial games with the Reds, as Jürgen Klopp will be forced to cover his absence with Curtis Jones and Wataru Endo.
Following these sources, Mac Allister would miss the next three games with Liverpool against West Ham, Arsenal and Burnley, as the player could be ready to rejoin the activities with the Reds’ squad next January for competing with the Merseyside institution in the second part of the season.
