Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp would have received good news in the last few hours, since one of the players he targeted in the summer transfer market window would have been set a new asking price in the last few days, and the new player’s value would be definitely really affordable for the Reds, who could try to sign him in the January transfer window.
According to the Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Monchengladbach would have lower the asking price for the French player Manu Kone, who was pursued by Liverpool in the summer as a part of the negotiations initiated by the Reds targeting a number 6, which ended with Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia snubbing them before they signed Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch.
In this sense, it is worth remembering that Jürgen Klopp had set Manu Kone as a possible target to sign for the position, but the asking price set by Monchengladbach, which was above the €40 million made the Reds consider other alternative options for their midfield.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the new asking price set for the player would really make things easier for Liverpool now, as the German team would be asking €25 million for the French midfielder, an affordable price to pay for the player, in a transfer that Liverpool should evaluate as they now have many players in that position after the arrival of Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch.
