Manchester United’s coach Erik Ten Hag received bad news from the his last signing Rasmus Hojlund in the last few hours, since the Danish striker’s injury could be worse than expected and it could change the plans his coach had for him at United, who even could be thinking about finding an alternative to back up his last arrival at the team.
In this sense, and according to an information given by the English journalist Matt Hughes in the Daily Mail, an MRI scan on Rasmus Hojlund as a part of his medical at United, would have found a stress response hotspot in his back. Following these sources, this kind of issue could be the start of stress fractures in young players, and it would be advisable to have precaution with the player.
According to that information, the player should not play twice a week for a while, which would affect to the Ten Hag plans for the striker, since the Dutchman would like to count on Hojlund as starter in the team’s line up, and regarding the health recommendations received for the player, Hojlund could play less than expected.
In this respect, the recommendations on the Hojlund’s health could change the Ten Hag’s plans for the player, and they could affect the Manchester United squad, where he could count on Anthony Martial as a backup for Hojlund or going to the transfer market again to sign another striker to replace Hojlund in case he needs to be prevented of getting injured.
