Nuno Espirito Santo, coach of Nottingham Forest, thinks of Iván Alejo to reinforce the offensive game of his team; There are still no contacts between the clubs.

With his lights and shadows, Iván Alejo approaches the end of the first round as the seventh most used player by Sergio González. Although it is not a record to write home about, being the player he is, he has a lot of merit for what it has cost him to become strong within Cádiz CF. His performance has gone from strength to strength and although he needs to correct certain personal aspects, and the yellow team is noticing it.

The point is that the minutes he has been on the green and the ability he is demonstrating means that the Premier League is turning their eyes to the Valladolid native. It is Nottingham Forest that is keeping a close eye on the Cadista winger, especially now that Nuno Espírito Santo, Valencia's coach nine years ago who led the 'che' team to the Champions League, has joined the English team's bench.

Nuno likes Alejo and, according to Marca, there is interest from Forest to get the Cádiz CF footballer, who is celebrating his fifth consecutive season in yellow after joining Nuevo Mirandilla from Málaga and Getafe, teams for which he played in the 2018/19 season. According to what is published, the Nottingham Forest coach gives priority to the possibility of acquiring the Cadista in the winter market that opens in a few days, who would fit into his project to strengthen a team that seeks permanence in the Premier League.

The man from Valladolid has a contract with Cádiz CF until June 30, 2025, so it would be a matter of negotiating his departure after the Cádiz club paid Getafe two million euros to take over his property, enforcing the agreement if the team was promoted to First Division, as was the case in the summer of 2020.

The uncertainty of the winter market

While waiting for contacts to occur between both clubs, it is worth remembering that in the winter market three years ago Alejo put a foot and a half in Dinamo Zagreb, although the negotiation was not closed as it seemed with the departure of the attacker and he finally stayed at Cádiz CF. And two seasons ago it was other teams from the Spanish First Division that set their sights on the Valladolid player, with Osasuna being the most interested team.
