The ex Chelsea and Arsenal player gave a controversial opinion about the German striker

Ex Chelsea and Arsenal player Willian Gallas enraged the Arsenal fans in the last few hours by making an unexpected confession about the former Chelsea player Kai Havertz, who played for Chelsea from 2020 to 2023 before being sold to Arsenal for €75 million in this summer transfer market window.

Gallas, who had a similar path to that of Havertz in the Premier League, joined Chelsea in 2001, before signing for Arsenal in 2006 in a controversial move who would have set him as an authorized voice to talk about the events happening at both teams, and had some words about the signing of Havertz for Arsenal after being asked by the British media for the German striker.

In this sense, Gallas made an unexpected confession, in which he stated that Havertz would not be a player for Arsenal. "I don't think Havertz was a player Arsenal needed to sign. For me, even at Chelsea, he was never consistent. He scored a couple of important goals, and had flashes where he played well but never consistently performed well", said Gallas.

The player performed poor stats against Manchester City

The Gallas’ confession would have enraged the Arsenal fans, who praised Havertz after the Gunners’ victory against Manchester City in the last Community Shield, despite the German player performed poor stats during the game, since he completed a goal missed, only two duels won at the midfield any key pass and any succeeded dribbling after having played 87 minutes with the Gunners.
