With a double from Julián Álvarez, the Citizens are crowned in the club world cup against Fluminense.

Julián Álvarez was the star of the Club World Cup final in Jeddah, and with his goals and assists he gave Manchester City a 4-0 victory over Fluminense to win the only title the English team was missing.

Again without Erling Haaland, disqualified for not having been in the semi-final, but with the Argentine from the start, Pep Guardiola's team dominated the entire match, although without taking the CONMEBOL champion Libertadores ahead.

Despite La Araña's early goal, in the first attack of the match, 40 seconds into the game, in what was the fastest goal in history in the FIFA competition, City played with a lower level of intensity than he usually shows in the Premier League.

It even took 27 minutes until the difference on the scoreboard widened and during that period, the men in light blue did not generate clear scoring chances. What's more, Flu had a penalty annulled in their favor due to an offside. The 2-0 came thanks to Phil Foden and his shot, which Nino not only couldn't stop, but deflected it towards his own goal. The second half was similar to the beginning. City with the ball, with all the weight of “encouraging” the game, and Fluminense without risking anything.

The Grand Finale

With 18 minutes left, Julián Álvarez received a ball from the right, threw the kick and Foden pushed it to make it 3-0. There was no return. But so that there were no doubts, the Argentine nailed the fourth in the 88th minute with a nice finish: he received it, threatened to take a bomb, but let it go down and finished crosswise for 4-0.
