Manchester United are totally immersed in the summer transfer market, as the club is struggling to complete the signings of some top targets requested by the coach Erik Ten Hag. The Dutchman has demanded to have elite players for his squad, in order to increase the level of the team to the highest football standards which can allow the team to lead all the competitions and be able to conquer any title next season.
In this sense, Ten Hag is running out of time to have his squad completed before August, and another bad news could be arriving in the next few hours, as Liverpool could join the race to sign a Manchester United target. Jürgen Klopp is looking for a potential replacement for Fabinho in case the Brazilian player ends up leaving Liverpool in the next few hours, and a Manchester United target could have already been identified as the player to sign by Klopp.
According to the English journal The Athletic, Liverpool are considering the United target Sofyan Amrabat as a potential replacement for Fabinho if the Brazilian player leaves, and the fresh cash the Anfield team could receive in a potential sale of Fabinho could really help to complete the move, leaving Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag without the Moroccan player.
Meanwhile, Amrabat is totally open to complete a quick move to a big European team, as his club, Fiorentina, has already agreed to let him go this summer. At first, Amrabat was interested in signing for FC Barcelona, but after not having completed his move to the Catalan team, the Moroccan player would be open to sign for a Premier League, where a quick move by Liverpool could end up with the player arriving at Anfield.
