Newcastle United imposed their quality on PSG with an historic 4-1 win against the French giant, who could not do anything to avoid a brilliant victory of the Magpies, who controlled the game from the start to the end, proving that the coach Eddie Howe had perfectly studied the strengths and the weaknesses of his rival.

After a first half where the locals dominated the game and scored two goals through Miguel Almiron at the 17th and Dan Burn at the 39th minute, PSG struggled to equalize the game, and they tried to be more aggressive in the last few meter, placing more players to the rival box, which was profited by Newcastle with quick and effective counterattacks.

In one of them the locals created a master artwork, showing the key lines of an effective and beautiful counter attack in a play to show it at the football schools. The Magpies profited all the gaps with a quick combination ended at the right wing, where they got the gap left by Luis Hernandez to advance with Sean Longstaff, who scored the third goal for the locals.

Longstaff finished the action with the third goal of the locals

The English 25-year-old player got the ball on the right wing and sent a powerful left footed crossed shot to the net, while PSG could only see the action and the ball inside their goal, conscious that the Magpies were totally superior to them on the pitch. At that moment, Longstaff put a great distance in the score, and the fans went crazy at St. James’ Park, that welcomed the Champions League again after twenty years of absence.
