If they thought they were rich, now they are richer. Manchester United has taken a new direction with the purchase of Sheikh Jassim for 6 billion pounds, and with it a new era where there could be signings of great quality in the coming months, because they do not want to be left behind the powerful clubs.
They have yet to tie down a major player, but the names keep coming out in the leading newspapers. Neymar Jr. is the top priority for the new owner, who could pull out his wallet and put more than 100 million euros to be transferred by another 'nouveau riche' like Paris Saint-Germain.
And there is still the part of finding his ideal defender. The Red Devils were already in talks with Min-Jae Kim, who has just won the Serie A trophy with Napoli and is considered one of the best defenders in Europe, but Bayern Munich are reportedly standing in the way with a much better offer.
But now, they could strike back at the Germans. One of their young players would be joining the team coached by Erik ten Hag, who has no time to adapt and, with this new investment, he will have to obtain positive results as soon as possible or he could lose his job.
In an interview with SportBild magazine, Jamal Musiala admits that he wants to reach the Premier League in the future. Although he has been tempted by Real Madrid, the Germany national team player likes to be in the best league possible. That's what Manchester United's new owners have heard to inquire about his signing and steal him away from Tomas Tuchel.
