Chelsea’s coach Mauricio Pochettino would be living hard days as the manager of the Blues, as he would have been severely criticized by the media and the fans after his team’s 2-1 defeat against Manchester United in Old Trafford on the fifteenth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season.

The Argentine manager, who joined the club in the summer as a free agent in the market after having terminated his contract with PSG, started an exciting project with the Blues, who spent a great amount of money in the summer transfer market window, bringing him top young players in English and European football such as Moises Caicedo, Christopher Nkunku or Cole Palmer.

However, the poor performance delivered by the team in the season, where the Blues have only achieved five victories from fifteen games in the campaign, would have put the manager to the under the spotlight in the last few hours, as the stats delivered by his team would lead him to be sacked from the club in the next few weeks according to the sporting data company Opta Sport.

Pochettino reached poor numbers with the Blues

Following the stats delivered by Opta, Pochettino would have reached the poor numbers delivered by Graham Potter, his predecessor in the charge as Chelsea manager, who was sacked in in 11th and 12 points off 4th place, while Pochettino’s team is currently 10th and 11th points off UCL places, which could be understood as a reason of a potential termination of the manager’s contract in the next few weeks.
