The attacker would be a sensation after the Brazilian star, who shone at Anfield, was not re-signed.

Liverpool's new players are about to arrive. The weapons they can give Jürgen Klopp for next season will be of a high calibre, thinking they will be leaving stars who made history within the club. The players hope to achieve what has happened in previous years where they touched the sky in Europe.

One such player who will be gone for next season will be Roberto Firminho. The striker had been overtaken by Darwin Nunez and no longer had a place in a forward line that still has its hopes pinned on Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz. The latter is trying to return from a serious injury that kept him out for months.

The names of new strikers are the order of the day, but many have signed contracts with their clubs and it will be difficult for the Reds to enter into serious negotiations. Especially when the Anfield side failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League and will have to resign themselves to other European competitions.

One of these names is reportedly being convinced by Jürgen Klopp, who does not want to be left with a poor attack and understands that he needs more goals to get back to the top of the Premier League next season.

The striker that Klopp wants for Liverpool

Marcus Thuram is reportedly Klopp's pick to join Liverpool. The Frenchman had a dream season in Germany and, at 25, has enough experience and explosiveness to fit into the German manager's scheme for next season and fight for the UEFA Europa League.
