At the start of the season, several teams in the Premier League have been hit by the problem of injuries in their teams and clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City have been under the spotlight on this topic but other teams would have faced more injuries than them in the start of the season.
In this sense, we could find Arsenal and Brighton, as teams with 5 injured players in their squads, which would have been in the Premier League headlines in the last few weeks. Arsenal have recently added Declan Rice, Martinelli and Leandro Trossard to the list headed by Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber, who suffers a long-term injury since the start of the season, while Brighton have James Milner, Lewis Dunk and Pascal Gross in the sidelines alongside Julio Enciso and Jakub Moder who is a long term absentee.
Manchester City, Newcastle and Tottenham also have less than eight injured players, with Pep Guardiola having Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic and John Stones, while Jack Grealish recently returned to the squad. In the case of Newcastle, the Magpies have the main absences of Harvey Barnes, Joelington, and Joseph Willock among the five absentees, and Tottenham have Giovani Lo Celso, Bryan Gil, Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Betancour injured, while Brennan Johnson recently joined the list and Ivan Perisic was confirmed as a long-term absence due to a ACL injury in his left knee.
However, Manchester United would be with Chelsea the club with a higher amount of injured players. The Red Devils are getting ready for the return of Mount, Varane and Reguilon in the next few weeks, while Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Ban-Bissaka and Luke Shaw remained in the sidelines, while Chelsea have a long 9-player list with Nkunku and Fofana as long-term absences, added to Lavia, Malo Gusto, James, Chukwuemeka, Madueke, Betinelli and Badiashile.
