Chelsea and Liverpool have been reported to be fighting to sign Moises Caicedo in the last few hours. While Chelsea would have rejected a €87 million for the player, Liverpool surprised the English football fans by making a €127 million offer that Brighton agreed, apparently granting the player’s arrival to Anfield in the next few hours.

However, despite having even booked the medical tests for the player, Liverpool could still be surprised by Chelsea in the race to sign the player, since the Blues, based on the personal agreement they already have with the player, would make a last-minute offer for the player overcoming the €127 million offered by Liverpool to convince Brighton according to the information given by the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Following the Romano sources Chelsea and Liverpool would face a big battle in the transfer market, since both teams could be in the race to sign the player until the last minute before the upcoming 2023/2024 Premier League season starts, and at this moment it would be a mystery which would be the player’s team to play the game Chelsea-Liverpool in only a few days.

When Moises Caicedo should be registered to play the Chelsea-Liverpool?

However, the player could not play that game, since Chelsea and Liverpool would be running out of time to register the player on time to face the Premier League opener for whatever club it is, as according to the Premier League rules, the player must be registered before 12 pm the working day before a game, which would mean Liverpool or Chelsea would have until Today 11th August to register Caicedo and he can be able to play with any of both clubs in the Stamford Bridge‘s game.
