Mauricio Pochettino arrived at Chelsea this season and he has already started to face the big challenges the London team has ahead. One of the main goals for the Argentine coach is rebuilding the team, which still has many players whom the count doesn't count on, not having found a solution to every personal situation yet.
In this sense, Chelsea is trying to make fresh cash to be respect the UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations, having already sold players like Kai Havertz, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Loftus -Cheek, Matheo Kovacic and Edouard Mendy, with Pulisic close to be announced by Milan as their new reinforcement.
However, there is a case unsolved yet that worries the Blues. It is the case of Romelu Lukaku, who arrived to the club in 2021 for €115 million and hasn’t responded to the huge expectations generated at the club. After being sent to Inter as a loaned player, the Belgian striker has come back to Chelsea, who are resigned to losing a big part of their investment in the player while they are desperately looking for his departure.
At the moment the player hasn’t been convinced by any offer, and according to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, he recently rejected a very lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League, as the striker wants to continue his career in Europe. Lukaku is keen on getting back to Inter Milan, which could only happen if Chelsea accepted another loan with the Italian team.
