Jürgen Klopp would to do anything to sign him

The Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola has been focused on setting the highest football standards at the club since he arrived at the institution in 2016. This condition has driven the Catalan coach to be extremely rigid about the players he keeps on his team, and sometimes the club doesn’t have enough patience with players who have elite potential.

This is the case of a player who is becoming the name of the transfer market window in the last few weeks, being desperately targeted by Jürgen Klopp, who is totally crazy about signing him for Liverpool. The German coach has the main goal of rejuvenate his team’s midfield, by rebuilding it with young versatile quality players, and in last few weeks he has a big name in mind.

We talk about Romeo Lavia, from Southampton, who was at Manchester City a year ago. There, Pep Guardiola decided not to count on him for his project and one year later, the 19-year-old Belgian is valued at £50 million by his current club and Liverpool is keen on signing him.

The player has even been targeted by Manchester United

In this sense, Liverpool has already started talks with Southampton to sign the player and a move by the Reds is expected in the next few days according to the British media. That move should be quick as Chelsea and Manchester United are also in the race to sign Romeo Lavia for their teams while Manchester City and Pep Guardiola regard their former player to become the name of the moment.
