Chelsea are plotting on the transfer market window with the main target of rebuilding the team to be back to their best days, and granting themselves the possibility of being on the top of the Premier League next season. The Blues have already sold several players, such as Kai Havertz, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, or Edouard Mendy and have fresh cash to spend on new signings.
In this sense, in the last few hours, Chelsea wanted to take a FC Barcelona target but finally it didn’t happen because of the players’ willingness to play in Spain, as he was determined to “remain faithful to his heart”. We talk about Vitor Roque, a 18-year-old Brazilian striker from Ath. Paranaense who has surprised everyone by showing a great potential, with a strength and a speed that have allowed him to already be compared to Ronaldo Nazario.
As a proof of his tremendous potential, Vitor Roque has been targeted by several European clubs as PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea since for a year, with FC Barcelona also joining the race for the player. The Catalan club, through its new sporting director, the Brazilian-Portuguese ex player Deco, made this summer the right connections to convince the player to arrive to Barcelona and Vitor Roque expressed his willingness to play with them.
With almost all the documents signed, Chelsea made an offer to the player, but the player rejected. According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Vitor Roque has rejected an offer which wanted to triple his salary to remain faithful to Barcelona. Chelsea offered him €10m/year gross in his first year while Barça offered €3.5m/year gross.
Roque is totally determined to follow the steps of Neymar and play for the Catalan team as his idol did. Following Romano sources, Barcelona have already sent Athl. Paranaense all the contracts signed for Vitor Roque and they are just waiting on Brazilian club to send all documents countersigned and then time to announce the signing
