Manchester United’s striker Anthony Martial would have come into fashion in the last few days, as the club would be monitoring the options to afford on the player’s future, to be solved in the next few months once the next transfer market window opens, as he could have new options to leave the institution.
Signed as a teenager from AS Monaco for €60 million in 2015, Martial has completed 307 games played with Manchester United, having scored 89 goals with the club and given 54 assists, a poor baggage for a player who was expected to make a huge impact for the Red Devils in the last few years, as he arrived to the club as “the new Henry”.
During this season, Martial has started two Premier League games, failing to score in both of them, and being clearly destined to the bench with the signing of Rasmus Hojlund as the first center forward option for Erik Ten Hag. In this sense, the player has one year left on his 250,000 a week contract, but the club could be about to make a decision on his future in the next few months.
In this respect, the English journal Daily Mail revealed that he stayed this summer as he only received an important offer from the Saudi Pro League, which was not considered by the player nor the club, and according to these sources, Manchester United would have decided to keep him during this season as a backup striker just until having the right option to replace him in the squad before taking a definitive decision on his future.
