Manchester United fans could be specially surprised in the last few hours, since one of the transferable players in the squad seems closer and closer to staying at the club next season, and Erik Ten Hag could be replanning his options to count on the player, who would be trying to convince his coach not to be sold in this summer transfer market window.
We talk about the French striker Anthony Martial, who has not been able to play any minute with the club in this preseason due to a hamstring injury that avoided him even playing the FA Cup final against Manchester City last season. However, Martial would have returned to train with the squad in the last few days, and he would be keen on staying at the club.
In that sense, according to the British media, Martial would have already rejected numerous offers from several Saudi Pro League clubs despite having been set as a transferable player by Ten Hag, and he would be determined to succeed at the club under the Dutchman’s management.
In consequence, Martial would look forward to the start of the upcoming season to try to convince Ten Hag of his abilities, with very few options to do it. The Dutch coach has recently signed the Danish Rasmus Hojlund to play the number 9 role in the team, which would contribute to reducing the time of play for Martial, who could find his option to stay if United did not find any destination for him in the last weeks of the transfer market.
