Brighton’s striker Ansu Fati had one of his best games with the Seagulls in his team’s 2-0 win against Ajax on the third day of the 2023/2024 UEFA Europa League group stage, where the Spanish former FC Barcelona striker signed his third goal with the South England team with a brilliant action after completing a great combination with the Ivorian striker Simon Adingra.
It happened at the 53rd minute of the game against Ajax, when Adingra dribbled a rival and sent a pass through on the Spanish striker, who controlled the ball with his left foot and finished the play with his right foot to sign the second goal for Brighton in the game and his third net as a Brighton player.
The goal allowed the Seagulls to seal an important victory to remain alive in their group and be ready to fight for the top positions against Olympique de Marseille, with five points and AEK with four, exactly the same than now have Brighton, whose next games in the competition will be absolutely crucial to qualify to the next phase of the tournament.
With his goal, Fati has now completed three goals in 12 games played for the Seagulls in all competitions, and he will be ready to improve the numbers completed at FC Barcelona in the last season, where he scored only 10 goals in 51 games played with the Catalan team.
