Manchester united’s winger Alejandro Garnacho has gone under the spotlight in the last few days, as he scored a wonderful overhead kicked goal against Everton in Goodison Park on the thirteenth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season, emulating the iconic goal scored by Wayne Rooney against Manchester City in Old Trafford in February 2011.

However, this wasn’t the only emulation of the Argentine player, who paid tribute to his idol, the former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo in his goal’s celebration, as the winger ran to make the traditional Portuguese superstar “siu celebration” after his goal, which caused that several football players slammed the Argentine winger.

In this sense, the Chilean former FC Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern midfielder Arturo Vidal, currently playing for Atletico Paranaense, used his personal Twitch account to mercilessly criticize the Argentine winger.  “I don't understand why he doesn't celebrate and make a name for himself.I respect that she is his idol, but he has to make his name, or else he will always remain in the shadows”, said Vidal.

In this respect, Garnacho gave an answer on the pitch to the Chilean player, as the Argentine winger opened the scoring for Manchester United against Galatasaray in the RAMS Park on the fifth day of the Champions League group stage, and the player celebrated his goal emulated the famous Cristiano Ronaldo’s “I’m here celebration” to hit his critics back and keep on emulating the steps of his idol.
