Manchester City’s striker Julian Alvarez opened the score for the Citizen against Fulham on the fourth day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season by finishing a wonderful play of the Sky Blues which ended in an assist by Haaland to the Argentine striker, who did not defraud.
Julian Alvarez, who had already scored a goal this season against Newcastle with a great combination with Phil Foden, profited from his team’s abilities to combine in the middle and move the ball in the offensive transitions to score his second goal of this campaign and setting the score 1-0 for the Citizen against Fulham.
With his two goals, the Argentine striker would improve his numbers last season, where he lasted five games to score his first two goals in the season, finishing it with nine goals, numbers he could easily break if he keeps on his current scoring strike during the next few games.
However, despite the great performance by Julian Alvarez, Manchester City could not avoid suffering against Fulham in the last minutes of the first half, since Julian Alvarez scored at the 31st minute but Fulham equalized with a goal by Tim Reed only two minutes later, but the Citizen could impose their quality and ended the first half with a late goal at the 50th minute by Nathan Ake who set the 2-1 before the halftime.
