The Ecuadorian player Moises Caicedo made his debut with Chelsea at the second half of the game between the Blues and West Ham, in the Hammer’s home league opener in the second day of the 2023/2024 Premier League season, where the midfielder entered on the pitch at the 61st minute replacing Ben Chilwell.

The Ecuadorian midfielder, who joined Chelsea for €133 million from Brighton in the last few days, entered in the game when the Blues were losing 2-1 and he had a chance to make the 2-2 only one minute after, with a right footed shot from outside the box that went high and wide to the right of the West Ham’s goal.

Caicedo was seen especially nervous on the pitch, and he made some imprecisions in the defense, and despite he won a free kick for Chelsea in the defensive half at the 82nd minute, he would have a bad ending of the game, since he played a negative key role in the West Ham’s third goal.

The Ecuadorian player conceded a penalty

The most expensive player in the Premier League conceded a penalty with a foul on Emerson at the 95th minute of the game, and Lucas Paqueta scored from the spot to seal West Ham’s 3-1 victory against Chelsea, which remained with only one point on the table after two games played this season.
