Manchester United’s midfielder Mason Mount was finally able to highly show his quality with the Red Devils in their 3-0 victory against Crystal Palace in Old Trafford for the third round of the 2023/2024 Carabao Cup, where the Ten Hag’s team had a comfortable game brilliantly led by Mount during the minutes he was on the pitch.
Mount, who joined the club this summer for €64 million from Chelsea and was coming from recovering from a hamstring injury, played the first half for the Red Devils against Crystal Palace and played a key role in the two goals scored by his team, since he initiated the first one scored by Garnacho at the 21st minute and gave the assist for the second one, scored by Casemiro at the 26th, completing one of his best moments with Manchester United.
In this sense, Mount achieved his first assist with the Red Devils in a corner kick, where he put an aerial pass inside the box to Casemiro, who headed the ball to the net to score the second goal for the locals and sealed the half of Manchester United’s victory before halftime.
The English international's great career with Manchester United could have begun with his first assist, since the player would be ready to break his records with Chelsea, where he completed 37 assists in 193 games played for the Blues, where he even achieved the UEFA Champions League trophy, that also could be a goal to achieve for Mason Mount in the next few years.
