Liverpool’s Japanese player Wataru Endo sealed with a goal a great performance against Toulouse in the team’s 5-1 win on the third day of the 2023/2024 UEFA Europa League group stage, which allowed the Asian midfielder to opened up his scoring account as a Liverpool player, to be developed in the next few games of the Reds.
The Japanese 30-year-old midfielder, who joined the Anfield team last summer from Stuttgart for €20 million, has already completed nine games with the Reds this season having given one assist and now having scored one goal, decent numbers for a player who is getting accustomed to the Jürgen Klopp’s system and has played few minutes for the team during the start of the season.
However, Endo would be ready to improve his performances and he would have started to build his career as a Liverpool player with a sensational goal that happened at the 30th minute of the game against Toulouse, when he headed a crossed pass by Trent Alexander Arnold from the right wing and netted the ball in the rival goal.
The Japanese player could show through his goal his great ability to win aerial duels, one of the characteristics that led him to be considered by Jürgen Klopp to join Liverpool. The Asian midfielder has completed more than 200 minutes played with the Reds in European competitions and would be ready to make a huge impact in the Premier League in the next few games.
