Saudi Arabia has already started to shake the transfer market window with several big names arriving to the Saudi Pro League and with the main goal of making it one of the most important and best football leagues in the world. Al Nassar, Al Alhi, Al Ittihad and Al Hilal already have at least a world class player in their squads, and their particular rivalry, increased by the willingness of showing their financial power to their opponents, continues growing.
In this sense, Al Hilal and Al Nassr could be ready to give another step in their historic rivalry for being the best team in Riyadh and in the Classic Derby of the Saudi Pro League by involving a Manchester City player in the equation.
According to the Daily Mail, Al Hilal is interested in signing Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, whose potential signing would mean another episode of rivalry between Manchester United and Manchester City in the Saudi Football, as Cristiano, ex Red Devil would be part of Al Nassar, while Bernardo Silva, currently at City, could be part of Al Hilal
In addition to that, both Portuguese players could also live a new rivalry in terms of salary. Following the Daily Mail sources, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal would be prepared to pay Bernardo Silva a potential salary of £75 million per season, with the Saudis ready to offer €80M to Manchester City for the midfielder. In Arabia, Bernardo could be ready to face Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Derby, with the ex Manchester United player currently winning more than €200 (£176.5m) per year, and it’s considered the main star in Saudi Pro League and an ambassador of the Saudi image inside and outside the country.
