The English team had a monstrous start against Lens in a match corresponding to Matchday 5 of the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal beat Lens 5-0 in London, on the fifth day of the group stage, and ensured they won zone B and advanced to the round of 8 of the UEFA Champions League as one of the favorites. Arteta's team crushes its rival from the first minutes and achieves a resounding victory to fuel its dream of dominating Europe.

Mikel Arteta's team clearly dominated the match from the beginning. After 30 minutes, Arsenal already beat Lens 4-0, with goals from Havertz, Gabriel Jesús, Saka and Martinelli. If that superiority was not enough, in injury time of that first stage, the Norwegian Odegaard scored 5-0 for Arsenal against the French, coincidentally the only team that had taken points from them, defeated them 2-1 in France on the date 2.

The English achieved a decisive victory to finish crowning their very good group stage in this Champions League. With this win, Arsenal not only qualified for the next stage. In addition, they secured first place in zone B, which guarantees that they will qualify as home team in the round of 8 against one of the runners-up from the other groups.

Arsenal accumulates 12 points, with 4 wins and 1 loss, that against Lens in the first leg. Looking ahead to the last date, they are followed by PSV, who beat Sevilla 3-2 after a great comeback, with 8 points. Lens, with this defeat, was 5 points ahead of Sevilla, which closes the table with just 2 points.

Arsenal thrashed and won their Champions League group

On the final day, Arsenal, already classified as leaders, visit PSV, their pursuer. The Dutch will need at least one more point to seal their ticket to the 8th round of the Champions League. In the other duel, Lens will have to beat Sevilla and hope that Arsenal helps them reach 2nd place.
