The Kylian Mbappe saga is already solving several of its chapters and Liverpool is involved in one of them. The Anfield team has shown a great interest in the player, as their coach Jürgen Klopp would be demanding for a big name in front of the team’s attack, as Darwin Nuñez and Cody Gakpo haven’t been able to assure a great amount of goals to the team.
Jürgen Klopp considers a superstar like Mbappe could be the key to fight for all competitions next season, in a current scenario in which it seems really difficult to face Manchester City hegemony in Premier League without a scoring machine similar to Haaland in the team.
In this sense, Liverpool has been linked with a potential Mbappe arrival to Anfield, which has surprised the fans and has enraged the PSG owners, as they would like Mbappe to stay at the club. The French star has only one more year left in his contract with the Parisian team, and Nasser Al Khelaifi tried to clarify the matter through a press conference in the last few days.
Al Khelaifi ended any hope of signing Mbappe as a free agent saying that they “won’t let the best player in the world go for free”. Instead, Liverpool should make a huge investment to sign the player, something which seems to be out of the club plans, according to the English journal Independent. Following this journal informations, sources with knowledge of the situation were on Friday insistent that there was no bid from Liverpool to PSG, as any such move is simply beyond the Liverpool transfer plans
